There are three isomers of silymarin: silibinin, isosilybin, and silybin. Of these, silymarin has the strongest activity and is a property of silymarin extract.
Our milk thistle extract is made from the dried fruit of Silybum marianum G., the extract is usually standardized to contain 80% of total silymarin and is water soluble.
Our silymarin is mainly used in medicine, cosmetics, health care products and other fields.
1. Hepatoprotective effect
Silymarin, the main active ingredient in hepatoprotection, has regenerative properties, stimulates the formation of new hepatocytes and improves liver function.
2. Antioxidant
The phenolic hydroxyl group of silymarin provides hydrogen atoms and has a powerful antioxidant effect. They have free radical scavenging properties and anti-lipid peroxidation activity.
3. Lower blood lipids
