Sparassis Crispa Extract

 

Sparassis crispa extract is a natural extract derived from the fruiting bodies of the rare edible fungus Sparassis crispa; its key characteristic constituents include high levels of ergosterol, β-glucan, and various bioactive polysaccharides.

 

Research has found that ergosterol, an active component of Sparassis crispa, exhibits significant AChE inhibitory activity. Crucially, spatial memory improved markedly in experimental mice following the intake of the relevant extract. At the same time, it reduced levels of lipid peroxidation in brain tissue.
