Arginine alpha ketoglutarate powder is a complex formed by L-arginine and alpha-ketoglutaric acid (AKG) bonded by salt bonds. Alpha-ketoglutarate, as an intermediate in the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA), can enhance the stability and bioavailability of arginine.

 

Its water solubility is better than that of ordinary arginine, making it suitable for sports drinks or fast-absorbing supplements. The AKG part can neutralize the alkalinity of arginine and reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
